How To: Healthy, Shiny Hair

I used to be that person who genuinely believed every day was a bad hair day. However, after reading countless magazines and consulting every hair stylist, I found great products and tips that worked for me. Now, I finally believe good hair days do exist.

First, I am completely and utterly obsessed with Moroccan Oil. I use all of these products, daily, to keep my hair healthy and shiny. Typically, I wash my hair only 3 times a week. On Sundays, for 10 minutes, I allow the Hydrating Deep Conditioner to sit.

Secondly, I do not go ANYWHERE without my Super Solano Blow Dryer. After I get out of the shower, I rap my hair in a towel and let it sit for exactly 10 minutes.  This way, I am not working with soaking wet hair and it is somewhat easier to manage. After I unrap the towel from my head, I apply three pumps of Moroccan Oil into my hair and brush though.  I further divide my hair into sections, using a small clip, and begin drying the bottom section with hot air on high setting.  As the bottom layers dry, I release from my clip and work my way to top of my head.

I highly recommend using a Moroccan Oil Round Brush for around the face to add more volume.

To protect my hair from the use of a flat-iron, I use the Keratin Thermo Shine Protection Spray.  I have found this product life changing- it withholds humidity and adds an illuminating shine that damaged hair needs.

Lastly, finding a good straightener is difficult.  I'm a compulsive hair straightener and started at a young age.  I remember my first flat iron, at 15, was the "Saphire", then I ran to purchase the "Chi"instantly  and finally liked the Paul Mitchel.  However, When I  was given the "GHD" (Good Hair Days) straightener as a birthday present two years ago, I vowed I will never use anything but.  And to this day, I still haven't.

Feel free to send all your favorite hair tips, products or suggestions to me.  I would love to enquire more recommendations!
